“Julen Lopetegui Poised to Take Over as AC Milan Manager”

Spanish manager Julen Lopetegui is on the verge of being appointed as the new manager of AC Milan in the upcoming weeks.

The Italian powerhouse is gearing up for a managerial change following their narrow miss in the Serie A title race to arch-rivals Inter Milan. Stefano Pioli is poised to step down at the season’s end, paving the way for Lopetegui as the leading candidate to take over at the San Siro.

AC Milan is currently in discussions with Lopetegui, and a deal is nearing completion, despite recent interest from West Ham United. According to reports from The Guardian, Lopetegui has turned down the opportunity to return to the Premier League and replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.

It is anticipated that Lopetegui will sign a two-year contract with Milan as part of their rebuilding efforts. This move to Italy marks a new chapter in Lopetegui’s career, following managerial stints in Spain, Portugal, and England dating back to 2003.
