Kyle Peko continues his NFL journey with a new destination.
The Detroit Lions announced on Tuesday that they have signed the former Oregon State Beavers’ standout. Details of the contract were not disclosed.
Peko, a defensive tackle, spent the previous season with the Tennessee Titans, where he achieved personal bests with 22 tackles and a pass deflection in 13 games, starting 10 of them. He will be reuniting with Lions’ defensive line coach Terrell Williams, who previously coached him during his tenure with the Titans.
Despite going undrafted in 2016, Peko, now 30, has forged a respectable career in the league. After beginning with the Denver Broncos for two seasons, he subsequently played for the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, and returned to the Broncos in 2019. Since then, he has had stints with the Titans (twice) and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Throughout his NFL journey, Peko has appeared in 42 games, tallying 56 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, two passes defended, and a forced fumble.
