During the ongoing rookie minicamp this weekend, the Bills have made a notable move by signing former University at Buffalo football standout LB Joe Andreessen. Initially among the 26 players participating in minicamp on a try-out basis, Andreessen has now secured a spot on the active roster.
Hailing from Depew, NY, Andreessen stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 232 pounds, making him a local talent with the opportunity to kickstart his professional career in his hometown.
Andreessen’s most recent stint was with the University at Buffalo, where he played during his graduate season. In the 2023 season, he started in all 12 games, boasting impressive stats with 90 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, one sack, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.
Before joining UB, Andreessen spent five seasons at Bryant University, where he earned All-America honors in 2022. During his time at Bryant, he set a school record with 116 tackles, showcasing his prowess on the field.
