Arkansas Razorbacks extend offers to Settles from Parkview and Barker from Beebe.
Little Rock Parkview junior Cameron Settles became the fifth player from his team to receive an offer from the University of Arkansas on Tuesday. Settles, who stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 198 pounds, has also garnered offers from Oregon State, SMU, Memphis, Tulsa, Arkansas State, and others.
Expressing his excitement, Settles stated, “It feels surreal to be offered by the school in my hometown. I used to watch the Hogs growing up.” Arkansas had previously extended offers to junior safety Omarion Robinson, junior athletes Monterrio Elston and Quentin Murphy, as well as 2026 linebacker Jakore Smith from Parkview.
Acknowledging the potential of playing alongside his teammates at the collegiate level, Settles remarked, “It’s exciting knowing my teammates are being recruited by the same school because we can potentially play together in college.”
Settles, who is being courted by Razorback running backs coach Kolby Smith, disclosed that discussions are underway for an official visit to Arkansas.
Describing Settles’s playing style, Parkview Coach Brad Bolding likened him to former North Little Rock and Alabama running back Altee Tenpenny. Bolding praised Settles’s explosiveness, exceptional hands, vision, and ability to gain yards after contact.
Settles has demonstrated his athleticism with impressive weightlifting stats and a 40-yard dash time of 4.5 seconds, coupled with a 36-inch vertical jump. Last season, he amassed 979 yards and 20 touchdowns on 96 carries, while also contributing on defense with 33 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions.
Bolding highlighted Settles’s remarkable yards per carry average and emphasized his impact despite sharing playing time in the backfield.
Additionally, Beebe’s Kiandrea Barker received an offer from Arkansas on the same day. Barker, standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, had previously committed to Penn State but has since garnered offers from various other schools. He is regarded as a 4-star recruit in the 2025 class by On3.com industry rankings.
