The UNC basketball coaching staff had another busy day on the recruiting trail.
The open recruiting period is underway, and the UNC basketball program is diligently evaluating some of their top high school targets.
After spending Friday in Texas, Hubert Davis traveled to Indianapolis for the second day of the Nike EYBL event.
Who were the Tar Heels focused on?
Firstly, after assistant coach Jeff Lebo watched five-star guard Jasper Johnson on Friday night, Davis personally observed Johnson in action on Saturday afternoon.

UNC has made Johnson a priority, with the combo guard having already made an official visit to Chapel Hill on February 2. The Tar Heels hope that Johnson, ranked No. 10 in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports, will follow the trend of Link Academy guards coming to North Carolina, as current point guard Elliot Cadeau attended the Missouri-based boarding school.
North Carolina is also interested in Keith, an in-state player who has taken an unofficial visit to campus. The Durham, North Carolina native is currently ranked No. 71 in 247Sports’ Top 100 but is trending upwards and could climb higher in the next rankings update.
