Cayden Boozer Takes Note of Success Achieved by Two UNC Basketball Guards.

UNC basketball remains one of the top five contenders in the race to recruit Cayden Boozer, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard told Zagsblog’s Sam Lance on Saturday after an impressive performance for Nightrydas Elite (Fla.) alongside his twin brother Cameron Boozer at Nike EYBL Session 4 in Kansas City.

Ranked No. 17 overall in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, Cayden Boozer is highly sought after for his unselfish playmaking, confident demeanor, solid build, clutch ability, and improving outside shot.

The other schools actively pursuing the five-star guard include Arkansas, Kentucky, Miami, and Duke, where his father, Carlos Boozer, won a national championship in 2001 and had a 13-year NBA career as a two-time All-Star.

The Boozer twins led Nightrydas Elite to a win over Team Why Not, with Cameron Boozer recording a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Cayden Boozer scoring 17 points on 80% shooting from the field.

Unlike his 6-foot-9, 230-pound brother Cameron, who ranks No. 2 overall in the 2025 class and shares their father’s size and position, Cayden focuses more on how the guards play for the programs recruiting him. Despite having similar offers, there’s no certainty the Boozer twins will attend the same college.

Cayden Boozer praised UNC’s guard development, mentioning reigning ACC Player of the Year RJ Davis and rising sophomore Elliot Cadeau. He noted that UNC’s playstyle is excellent for guards and produces a lot of wins.

Although Cayden Boozer hasn’t named his finalists or set a decision timeline, he expressed admiration for UNC head coach Hubert Davis. Neither of the Boozer twins has planned a visit to Chapel Hill yet.

“He’s just a great coach, a good person to talk to,” Cayden said about Hubert Davis. “He’s one of the best coaches in college right now, so it’s always good to talk to him.”

Cayden and Cameron Boozer received offers from UNC last May and were among the first recruits on the Tar Heels’ 14-deep 2025 wishlist.
