This past season, Thomas won the CAA Player of the Year award at Hofstra, and Jones was selected to the All-AAC team while playing for Memphis. In his final year of college, Thomas averaged a remarkable 22.5 points per game. He will try to carry over that scoring prowess into the NBA.

Whether he will be able to use that scoring touch with the Lakers or another team is still to be determined, but at least he will get a chance to demonstrate his abilities.
