Tennessee is looking for its seventh CWS appearance ever in 2024, with two of them (2021, 2023) coming under Vitello’s tenure.

Vitello, since leaving his role as an Arkansas assistant for Tennessee, has built the Vols into one of the best programs in college baseball, securing two No. 1 overall seed selections in the last three seasons (2022, 2024).

Vitello has a chance to send Tennessee to its third CWS appearance in his tenure on Sunday when the Vols face Evansville in a winner-take-all game three of the Knoxville Super Regional.
