Kentucky five-star target updates his top five school choices.

Kentucky is engaged in an intriguing recruitment effort as they aim to add one more player to the 2024-25 roster or potentially a player for the following season.

Will Riley, a 6’8″ wing from Malvern, Pennsylvania, is ranked 15th in the 2025 class according to 247Sports composite rankings. Although currently a member of the 2025 class, Riley is considering reclassifying to 2024 and joining a college program for the upcoming season.

Riley recently updated his top five choices, replacing Arkansas with Illinois. His other options include Kentucky, Alabama, Arizona, and the NZ Breakers.

A crystal ball prediction recently favored Illinois, but Riley’s recruitment remains uncertain. He has yet to decide on reclassifying, a decision that will significantly impact his recruitment process.

Kentucky’s recent addition of Jaxson Robinson, who withdrew from the 2024 NBA Draft, might affect their chances of landing Riley if he reclassifies to 2024. However, if Riley remains in the 2025 class, Coach Pope remains in contention.

Riley, an elite shooting wing who can drive to the rim and pass effectively, fits well with Coach Pope’s system. Kentucky’s chances with this top recruit will become clearer once Riley decides which class he will join, a decision expected in the coming weeks.
