Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore made their Autzen Stadium debuts in Oregon’s spring game, which saw lead performances from running backs and several front seven defenders in addition to the new quarterbacks.

Gabriel went 14 of 21 for 163 yards with two touchdowns to lead the Green team in a 28-17 win over Moore (11 of 16 for 87 yards) and Austin Novosad (11 of 19 for 143 yards with an interception) Saturday afternoon.

think all of our quarterbacks had some really positive plays,†Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. “I know there was a couple of plays that the series would have probably kept going if the ball was caught. I think we saw some good things from Luke (Moga) and Austin as well and even Brock (Thomas) when he was in there.

“I feel really good about our quarterbacks, though. I really like the group that we have there. I think we have talent in that room.â€

Gabriel opened 5 of 9 for 33 yards, with a pair of incompletions on deep throws, and took two “sacks†during the first quarter. He settled in during the second half of the game, going 3 of 4 for 22 yards with a five-yard touchdown to Justius Lowe during the third quarter and 5 of 7 for 101 yards and a score in the fourth, benefiting from running back Jay Harris taking a short pass 24 yards for a touchdown up the middle.
