Georgia football gaining momentum for 5-star USC de-commit Justus Terry.

Less than a day after de-committing from USC, five-star 2025 defensive lineman Justus Terry is trending towards SEC powerhouse Georgia, according to recruiting experts. The in-state Manchester (Ga.) prospect is projected to sign with Georgia based on recent recruiting analyses.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Georgia a dominant 94.9% likelihood of securing Terry’s commitment, with Alabama at 1.7% and Florida State at 1.4%. USC, previously at 1.5%, is no longer in contention. Additionally, 247Sports Crystal Ball projects Terry will sign with Georgia with a 100% certainty, supported by two expert predictions.

Rated as the No. 2 overall player in Georgia and the No. 2 defensive lineman nationally, Terry had initially committed to USC in March but reopened his recruitment after visiting Georgia and Florida State. Georgia currently ranks No. 4 in the 2025 college football recruiting team rankings with 13 commitments, including two five-stars: tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Zayden Walker. If predictions hold, Terry will be Georgia’s third five-star in the active 2025 class.
