Oklahoma backup pitcher SJ Guerin, originally from Leander, TX, near Austin, has announced on social media that she will continue her collegiate career at Auburn. Guerin, a highly regarded left-handed pitcher, spent two seasons with the Sooners under coach Patty Gasso. She was recognized as one of the top pitching prospects in the nation, ranked No. 25 overall by Softball America and No. 10 by FloSoftball. Additionally, she was ranked as the seventh-best pitcher by Extra Innings Softball.

In her freshman year in 2023, Guerin redshirted. During the 2024 season, she appeared in nine games, achieving a 2-0 record with an impressive 0.70 earned run average. Guerin pitched 10 innings, recorded nine strikeouts, contributed to three shutouts, and held opponents to a team-low .118 batting average while with the Sooners.
