Zach Edey and Cam Spencer are among the Memphis Grizzlies players who will not participate in the summer league game against the Orlando Magic.

There is ongoing anticipation and hope for Zach Edey’s potential return, but it won’t happen on Wednesday. The Memphis Grizzlies have ruled Edey out for their upcoming game against the Orlando Magic due to ankle soreness. This marks his fifth consecutive game on the sidelines, with his last appearance dating back to July 8, where he posted impressive stats against the Jazz with 14 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks.

Despite his absence on Wednesday, the Grizzlies have not ruled out Edey for the rest of the summer league, leaving open the possibility of his return for Thursday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, which airs at 5 p.m. on NBA TV.

Additionally, the Grizzlies will also be without guard Cam Spencer and forward Jake LaRavia for Wednesday’s game. Spencer injured his ankle during Monday’s game and did not return after the third quarter, while LaRavia had to be assisted off the court late in the same game against the Dallas Mavericks.
