Illness Forces Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to Miss Practice Again.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is sidelined once again due to illness.

The reigning NFL MVP did not participate in practice on Friday after briefly returning on Wednesday.

According to the team, Jackson “continues to undergo further evaluation and receive care from our medical team.”

He made his training camp debut on Wednesday but left an hour into practice, struggling to perform—he completed just one pass during team drills and threw an interception before exiting. Jackson appeared fatigued as he walked off the field on Wednesday.

In his absence, 38-year-old backup Josh Johnson led the first-team offense.

Jackson has missed four out of the first five practices in this year’s training camp, marking a recurring issue for him; he has missed at least one practice due to illness in each of his first seven NFL seasons.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh is set to address reporters after practice.

In February, at just 27 years old, Jackson became the youngest two-time NFL MVP since the merger.
