Jackson Selected for Lombardi Award Watch List.

Arkansas defensive lineman Landon Jackson has been named to the 2024 Lombardi Award Watch List.

The Lombardi Award™, created in 1970 to honor the iconic coach Vince Lombardi, is presented to outstanding linemen who embody leadership, courage, performance, and discipline both on and off the field. The watch list includes players who consistently showcase strength, agility, and football intelligence in their roles.

This is Jackson’s third appearance on a national award watch list this season, following his selection to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List.

As he heads into the 2024 season, Jackson is a Walter Camp Football Foundation Preseason All-American and Preseason All-SEC choice. Last year, he was a dominant pass rusher, recording 44 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and one pass breakup during his junior year with the Razorbacks.

From Texarkana, Texas, Jackson became the first Arkansas defensive lineman since Jake Bequette in 2011 to earn First-Team All-SEC honors. He led the Razorbacks in tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (6.5). Jackson had an exceptional game against Alabama, setting career highs with 11 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks, which earned him SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week and Bednarik Award Player of the Week honors. His 3.5 sacks in that game were the highest by an SEC player last season and tied for the fifth-most nationally.

Jackson is one of 90 elite linemen and linebackers on the watch list, representing the top talent from all FBS conferences and independents, based on past achievements and future potential.
