The Los Angeles Rams have gone from afterthought to contender in the NFC playoff picture by winning four of their last five games, largely thanks to the exceptional play of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Stafford, 35, had an underwhelming start to this season, but has been on fire recently with 13 touchdowns and only two interceptions in his last five games.

The latest notch under the belt for Stafford came on Sunday, when he threw to touchdowns to help the Rams beat the Washington Commanders 28-20.

Beyond just his recent hot streak, Stafford received some help from his daughter, 2-year-old Tyler. Before the

game, the youngest of Stafford’s four daughters gave her dad an adorable pep talk before the family posed for a photo.

Stafford has done a solid job of following his daughter’s advice, as he’s only been sacked 25 times in 13 games compared to

the 29 in nine games he took last year. However, the Commanders sacked him three times on Sunday, much to the displeasure of his daughter.

Even though he took some shots, Stafford is one tough son of a gun and he and the Rams pulled off the win, which is what’s

really important. Stafford will hope to stay hot when he and the Rams take on the New Orleans Saints in a crucial

Thursday Night Football game, although he and his family wouldn’t mind a few less hits.
