Sooners Setback: Wide receiver Deion Burks, who has been the Sooners’ most reliable playmaker this season, submitted resignation latter due to…

Nic Anderson has been marked as ‘out’ for the Sooners’ game against Auburn.

Amid uncertainties regarding injuries in OU football this week, Wednesday night’s availability report clarified the status of several players.

Wide receiver Deion Burks, who has been the Sooners’ most reliable playmaker this season, is listed as questionable for the game at Auburn. After the Tennessee game, head coach Brent Venables noted that Burks was dealing with a soft tissue injury, having been evaluated in the injury tent and not wearing his helmet on the sidelines. He has recorded 26 receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns in four games.

The Sooners will continue to have limited wide receiver depth, as Nic Anderson, who made his season debut against Tennessee before re-aggravating his quad injury, is out, and Andrel Anthony is doubtful for the matchup against the Tigers. True freshman running back Taylor Tatum, who also left last Saturday’s game with an injury, is also listed as doubtful. Offensive lineman Jake Taylor is considered probable to play.

Kicker Tyler Keltner will be unavailable for the Auburn game due to an undisclosed injury. Zach Schmit, who served as the Sooners’ kicker last season, is expected to handle field goals and PATs.

Additionally, Auburn defensive lineman Isaiah Raikes, kicker Alex McPherson, and offensive lineman Izavion Miller are all listed as questionable.
