Early last month, the Virginia Tech football team was in a precarious
position. It had lost four times in five games and needed to find some way to salvage anything positive as it dealt with
injuries to major contributors and a somewhat unsettled situation at quarterback.
The Hokies’ fortunes have been so prosperous since that they not only are
within one victory of securing bowl eligibility for the first time under Coach Brent Pry but also remain in the hunt, at
least mathematically, for a berth in the ACC championship game opposite Florida
