Poitras, who sat out on Tuesday and Thursday, is now listed as day-to-day after taking a significant hit from Rasmus Ristolainen late in Saturday’s game. He is vying for a roster spot, likely as the third-line center. If he’s unable to play in Tuesday’s opener, it could create an opportunity for another player to make the team.

McAvoy was present on Thursday, but there was no clear indication of any injury during that game.

Goaltender Jiri Patera was also on the ice for the first time after being claimed off waivers from the Canucks on Wednesday.
