Eagles cut ties with former Pro Bowl linebacker Devin White, who did not see any playing time during his stint with the team.
The Philadelphia Eagles released linebacker Devin White on Tuesday after he did not play in any of his four games with the team.
A former first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, White was a starter for most of his rookie season, led the Super Bowl-winning team in tackles during his second year, and earned Pro Bowl honors in his third year. However, his performance has been inconsistent, with Pro Football Focus grades ranging from 36.1 to 51.9, indicating struggles, particularly in run defense.
The Buccaneers declined to pick up his fifth-year option, leading White to sign a one-year contract with the Eagles this offseason. After being inactive for the first four games, the Eagles decided to part ways with the veteran linebacker following their bye week.
