A former Ohio State football player is facing more trouble following another troubling incident.
Several former Ohio State football players had a strong showing in the NFL this past Sunday, with receivers like Marvin Harrison Jr., Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Terry McLaurin, and Noah Brown all performing well.
However, Jameson Williams, another former receiver, struggled. Currently serving a two-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs, this marks the second suspension in his brief NFL career, and it could lead to more issues down the line.
Instead of focusing on preparing to return to one of the top teams in the league, Williams recently encountered legal trouble when he had a run-in with the police that could have resulted in gun charges. An investigation is ongoing regarding why he wasn’t arrested during a traffic stop on October 8, despite being pulled over by Detroit police for possessing a firearm without a concealed carry license. This situation could further jeopardize his career if it violates the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Williams, who had a standout year at Alabama before declaring for the Draft, needs to get back on track to realize his potential in the NFL.
