A NASCAR driver and Victoria’s Secret model is inspiring the future generation of female racers.
Following the recent launch of Raising Cane’s campaign featuring NASCAR’s first Arab American female driver Toni Breidinger, she revisited her roots in celebration of International Women’s Day. Toni, also known as a racecar driver and Victoria’s Secret model, returned to Phoenix Kart Racing Association (PKRA) alongside her twin sister Annie, an engineer in the automotive industry.
At PKRA, where Toni clinched her first Go Kart victory and where both sisters raced during their childhood, they mentored 13 aspiring young female drivers. The event kicked off with a Q&A session led by Toni and Annie, discussing their respective careers in NASCAR and engineering. They shared insights on breaking stereotypes and inspiring women in male-dominated fields, addressing topics such as overcoming setbacks, role models in sports, and future aspirations.
Toni expressed her enthusiasm about encouraging the next generation of women in motorsports, recalling her own beginnings in Go Karts and her desire to share her journey with others.
In honor of International Women’s Day and Toni’s contributions, Raising Cane’s donated $100,000 to the Women’s Sports Foundation (WSF), where Toni serves as an Athlete Ambassador. Founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, WSF promotes sports equity and empowerment for girls and women. The donation supports WSF’s ongoing efforts to create inclusive opportunities in sports.
Danette Leighton, CEO of WSF, expressed gratitude for Toni’s partnership and highlighted her impact as a role model, encouraging continued support for girls and women in sports.
The event marks part of a broader campaign by Raising Cane’s, focusing on speed and accuracy and featuring Toni, who has a longstanding admiration for the brand and its owner Todd Graves. Toni, driving a Raising Cane’s-branded car, is set to compete in tomorrow’s ARCA race at Phoenix Raceway, where she stands as one of only two women drivers in the weekend’s NASCAR events.
