Davante Adams may have an interest in joining the Steelers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been actively searching for a wide receiver trade throughout the offseason, but have yet to secure one. Recent reports indicate they are continuing to scour the market, with Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers and Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders emerging as intriguing potential targets.
According to Jason La Canfora on FS1’s “Speak,” the Steelers are poised to make another move for a receiver, potentially targeting either Aiyuk or considering a scenario involving Adams down the line. La Canfora mentioned the Steelers’ readiness to make a significant acquisition, reflecting their preparedness to make a bold move.
Former Steelers offensive tackle Ryan Harris also weighed in, suggesting that Adams might be interested in joining Pittsburgh due to the opportunity to play under the leadership of Hall of Fame coach Mike Tomlin. Harris, who played for the Steelers in 2016, highlighted the appeal of Tomlin’s coaching style for players.
Adams, who carries a $22 million cap hit this season, is widely regarded as one of the NFL’s top wide receivers. While speculation has centered on Adams potentially reuniting with Aaron Rodgers or joining the New York Jets, Pittsburgh offers him the prospect of contributing to a revamped offense and adjusting to a new quarterback and offensive coordinator setup.
