John Calipari organized a satellite camp for the Razorbacks in Russellville.
John Calipari is continuing his statewide travels ahead of his inaugural season as the head coach of the Arkansas basketball team. Recently, he hosted a satellite camp in Russellville where kids in grades one through six had the opportunity to learn fundamental skills from the Razorback coaching staff. The event also featured a Q&A session and an autograph signing.
Looking forward, Calipari plans to expand these outreach efforts throughout Arkansas. He emphasized the importance of connecting directly with communities, stating, “If you really want to touch people, you go to them.” He envisions hosting more satellite camps across the state, offering activities such as autographs, photos, games, and interactive sessions to engage fans and young players. Additionally, Calipari mentioned plans to hold team scrimmages in places like Hot Springs and possibly Pine Bluff, aiming to bring the Razorbacks closer to fans outside of Fayetteville.
