From DimeTime Retreat to Freshman Challenges, Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold Has Already Experienced a Lot.

Jackson Arnold witnessed firsthand last year how a quarterback at Oklahoma should lead, learning from Dillon Gabriel. When Gabriel transferred from Central Florida before the 2022 season, one of his first actions after spring practice was to organize a retreat for the OU offense, which he called The DimeTime Retreats.

A year later, as Arnold settled into his role as a college football player, Gabriel once again led the offense on a retreat. Arnold has been eager to carry on this tradition, and he did just that.

“Instead of having separate retreats for the offense and defense, we held a team retreat this past weekend,” Arnold shared last week at SEC Media Days in Dallas. “We traveled to Kingfisher, Oklahoma, where we shot skeet, played paintball, and really connected with each other.”

Gabriel quickly won over his new teammates by organizing this getaway, establishing himself as a leader and demonstrating his commitment to the team.
