Originally from Arlington, Texas, Neyor caught 44 passes for 878 yards and 12
touchdowns in 2021 at Wyoming. His 19.95 yards per catch ranked sixth in the FBS. He transferred to Texas and
suffered a torn ACL during preseason camp in 2022 before playing in just one game in the past two seasons.
Neyor visited Lincoln this week as quarterback signee Dylan Raiola spent time on campus with several transfer
targets. Another receiver, 6-4 Jahmal Banks, in the portal from Wake Forest, visited with Neyor. Running back Dante
Dowdell, out of Oregon, was on campus Friday and posted photos on social media with Raiola.
wide receiver spots grew dangerously thin for the Huskers in 2023,
contributing to their struggles in the passing game. Nebraska threw for 135.9
yards per game with a 52.1-percent completion with 10 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions. Despite the
addition of Raiola, a five-star quarterback who enters this spring as the leading contender to start, the
Huskers had not added major pieces to their pass-catching arsenal beyond eight true freshmen.
Now they have. Garcia-Castaneda, a senior who missed all but one game last season because of injury, is also set to
bolster the wide receivers. And Nebraska remains in contention to add Banks as another big piece.
