The Texas Longhorns enter uncharted waters this year as they transition to their first year in the Southeastern Conference. Fortunately, the Longhorns
have one of the deepest rosters in the country led by arguably the best quarterback in the country, Quinn Ewers.
Ewers will be a third-year starter in 2024 after guiding the Longhorns to a Big-12 Championship and College Football Playoff berth. Ewers completed 69.0% of
his passes for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns a year ago to earn a Second-team All-Big-12 selection.
Many already view Ewers as a future first-round pick, but a strong senior campaign can help cement that.
With the season less than a month away, Ewers has been named to the Walter Camp Award watch list for the college football player of the year. Ricky
Williams was the first Longhorn to win the award back in 1998 before Colt McCoy won the award in back-to-back years 2008 and 2009.
Former LSU Tiger’s QB Jayden Daniels was the winner in 2023.
