The Los Angeles Rams sideline will look different for this Saturday’s preseason match-up against the Chargers.

Head coach Sean McVay has decided to let assistant head coach Aubrey Pleasant

lead the team against the Chargers, noting that Pleasant has “earned this right.”

“He’s earned this right and it’s more of just going through some of the mechanics — meeting with the officials,

handling some of the different things as it relates to timeouts, being able to communicate with both sides.”

As for where McVay will be, he’ll watch over things from the team’s coaching booth. (Editor’s Note: An ealier version of

this article mistakenly stated that McVay would be in the broadcast booth). Rams fans might know, whenever there have

been stories suggesting that McVay might retire or has been flirting with the idea

of retirement, broadcasting is usually listed as the next step in his career.
