Marcus Harris, a four-star wide receiver hailing from Santa Ana, Georgia, in the 2025 class, has unveiled plans to attend three junior days.
The standout Mater Dei High School receiver, gaining national attention, is in a pivotal phase of his recruitment, remaining open-minded. According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Harris has scheduled junior day visits with the Tennessee Volunteers and two other college football programs.
Ranked as the 85th player in the 2025 cycle by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Harris displayed his prowess with 43 receptions for 644 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season. Standing at 5 feet 11.5 inches and weighing 180 pounds, Harris, who has not visited Knoxville previously, presents a significant opportunity for the coaching staff. He plans to visit Tennessee this weekend, followed by trips to the University of Miami on January 27 and Alabama on February 3.
Reflecting on his recent unofficial visit to Texas, Harris described the atmosphere as electric, emphasizing the passionate fanbase and the excitement of a sold-out stadium. He highlighted the importance of his mother experiencing the campus and meeting the coaches, as well as observing how receivers are utilized in the passing game.
A crucial factor in Harris’s recruitment is the situation surrounding five-star Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre. The Vols and Alabama are contenders for his commitment, and Tennessee has gained momentum with the recent retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban. If MacIntyre chooses the Vols, it could positively impact their pursuit of top-tier receivers in the class.
The current members of Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class include Justin Baker (RB), Jack VanDorselaer (TE), Shamar Arnoux (CB), Dylan Lewis (CB), and Tyler Redmond (CB).
