coming down to the wire.

Missouri football starting quarterback Brady Cook will dress for warmups and is going to be a true game-time decision for the Tigers at South Carolina, sources told the Columbia Daily Tribune. Mizzou will face the Gamecocks on Saturday afternoon at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

This does not necessarily mean that Cook will play, but rather that he is going to give it a run all the way up until kickoff.

Cook did not start the Tigers’ win over Oklahoma last Saturday, meaning he was missing as the starter under center for the first time since a game at Arkansas on Nov. 26, 2021 — a run of 35 straight games. His backup, Drew Pyne, led Missouri to a late win with three touchdown passes in the second half to help see off the Sooners.

Cook was listed as doubtful on all three of the Tigers’ midweek availability reports, which were released nightly between Wednesday and Friday. He is now expected to be listed as a game-time decision on Missouri’s final availability report, which is released 90 minutes before the 3:15 p.m. CDT (4:15 p.m. ET) kickoff at South Carolina
