The manager describes Morgan Whittaker as an excellent candidate for the captaincy role at Plymouth.
The 23-year-old, highly-regarded player, who has been associated with a potential move to the Premier League, captained the team for the first time in his career, with skipper Joe Edwards on the bench.
Whittaker added to his impressive goal-scoring record by scoring his eighth goal in as many games during the victory.
Following the win, Argyle climbed to the 15th position in the Championship.
Coach Foster, speaking to BBC Radio Devon, highlighted Whittaker as the standout candidate for the captaincy, stating, “Morgan is part of the leadership group, and based on the personnel I selected for today’s game, he was the outstanding candidate. Players exhibit leadership in various ways, and this season Morgan has led by example through his performances.”
