Jordan Houghton’s absence from the FA Cup match against Leeds United for Plymouth Argyle was due to an injury.
Plymouth Argyle is currently awaiting information regarding the extent of the ankle injury that midfielder Jordan Houghton sustained during last week’s training session. The 28-year-old, who has been a dependable player for Argyle this season and has even captained the team on several occasions, missed the FA Cup fourth-round draw against Leeds United at Elland Road due to this injury. Houghton consulted with a specialist on Friday to assess the situation. The injury occurred last Tuesday when he rolled his ankle, with similarities noted to the one suffered by defender Lewis Gibson earlier in the month. Gibson had missed two matches but returned to play against Leeds.
