Sam Pittman has formally confirmed a highly regarded offensive line transfer is scheduled to make a visit to the Arkansas football program in the upcoming weeks.

Following the conclusion of the NCAA’s dead period, during which no visits are allowed, Branson Hickman, a graduate transfer and center from SMU, officially entered the transfer portal on Monday. Standing at 6-3 and weighing 294 pounds, Hickman has expressed his desire to visit the Razorbacks after the dead period, which spans from February 5 through March 3.

According to On3.com’s industry ranking, Hickman is recognized as the top interior offensive lineman in the portal and holds the No. 16 overall transfer spot. Previously listed on the 2023 Rimington Trophy Watchlist, Hickman showcased his abilities by starting all 14 games in the past season for the Mustangs, earning a second-team All-AAC designation as a junior. In his sophomore year in 2022, he also started all 12 games at center.
