The Detroit Lions have inked deals with 11 players for reserve/futures contracts.
The Detroit Lions announced on Tuesday that they have secured the signatures of 11 players for reserve/futures contracts. Notable among the signees are wide receivers Tom Kennedy and Maurice Alexander, as well as running back Jermar Jefferson.
All the players who inked deals on Tuesday had previously spent time on the team’s practice squad during this season. These reserve/futures contracts become effective on the first day of the new league year when teams are allowed to expand their rosters to 90 players in preparation for training camp.
Following the 2023 season, during which the Lions reached the NFC Championship Game but ultimately lost to the San Francisco 49ers, the team has taken steps to build for the future.
