Roy Keane strongly believes he was entirely deserving of a particular outcome following his departure from Manchester United.
Pundit conveyed to Gary Neville and Jaap Stam that, while he had a successful spell as a player at Old Trafford, his fallout with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson prompted his exit from the club in 2005.
Following his time at United, Keane had a brief stint at Celtic before retiring in 2006. Reflecting on his career, he expressed a specific regret regarding his tenure at the club.
Transitioning to a managerial role, Keane began at Sunderland but resigned after 27 months. He then assumed the managerial position at Ipswich Town in 2009, which proved challenging, leading to his dismissal in 2011 after a demanding 20-month period.
Despite ongoing speculation about a potential return to management, Keane never assumed a full managerial role again. Instead, he pursued other positions after departing from Ipswich Town.
He took on the role of assistant manager for Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland team and later held similar positions at Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
