The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the recruitment of three coaches to strengthen their offensive staff, bringing on board Tom Arth, Zach Azzanni, and Mateo Kambui.
Arth assumes the role of the new quarterbacks coach, while Azzanni takes on the position of the new wide receivers coach. Kambui joins as an offensive assistant.
Arth initiated his NFL coaching journey in 2022 with the Chargers, serving as their pass-game specialist. Before entering the NFL, he held head coaching positions at Akron (2019-2021), Chattanooga (2017-2018), and John Carroll (2013-2016).
In the NFL, Azzanni has gained experience with the Jets, Chicago Bears (2018), and Denver Broncos (2018-2022). His collegiate coaching background includes stints as a passing game coordinator at Florida in 2010 and Tennessee from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, he served as the offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky in 2011 and as the assistant head coach at Central Michigan from 2007 to 2009.
Kambui, previously associated with Steelers’ new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in Atlanta, served as the assistant offensive line coach for the Falcons in 2023. Before his tenure with Atlanta, he contributed to the Denver Broncos under the Marlin Briscoe Coaching Fellowship from 2021 to 2022, focusing on scouting and coaching wide receivers.
