The landscape for the 2025 recruiting cycle is shaping up, following Georgia’s success in securing the No. 1 recruiting class for 2024. One of the key focuses for the Bulldogs in the upcoming cycle is securing the commitment of five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, who is currently pledged to USC.
This highly-rated prospect recently moved up a class, transitioning from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025. Hailing from Carrollton High School in Georgia, Lewis is recognized as the No. 2 quarterback and the eighth overall recruit in the country according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Despite his commitment to USC, Lewis has designated another visit to the Bulldogs on March 14, following his recent visit to Athens on February 3. His spring visit schedule also includes stops at Alabama on March 8, Auburn on March 16, Colorado on March 22, and USC on March 30.
Having demonstrated exceptional performance during his freshman season in 2022, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback continued to impress as a sophomore, amassing 3,094 passing yards, 48 touchdowns, and a mere two interceptions. Lewis earned recognition as the MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year in 2023, guiding Carrollton to an impressive 11-2 season and a quarterfinals appearance in the 7A division.
Despite initially including the Bulldogs in his top eight schools before committing to the Trojans on August 22, it is evident that Lewis is actively exploring his options, as reflected in the multiple visits he plans to take this spring.
