Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman faced legal issues on Saturday when he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). The arrest occurred early in the morning, just before 5 a.m. PT, and an ongoing investigation is underway. This incident compounds Sherman’s previous legal troubles from less than two years ago.

In March of 2022, the ex-Seahawks star admitted guilt to charges of first-degree negligent driving, second-degree criminal trespass, and speeding in a construction zone, all of which were categorized as misdemeanor offenses. At that time, he received a 90-day suspended sentence and had to undergo monitored supervision for the following two years. As those two years are set to conclude next month, Sherman may face further legal consequences due to his recent DUI arrest.
