Justin Fields selects the four football figures he considers the ‘Mount Rushmore’ of Ohio State Football.

Former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields shared his perspective on the greatest Buckeyes to have played in The ‘Shoe during an appearance on the “St. Brown Bros” podcast hosted by NFL receivers Amon Ra and Equanimeous, where he unveiled his Ohio State “Mount Rushmore.” Fields, now a quarterback for the Chicago Bears, emphasized that he had little prior exposure to Ohio State before joining the team, having been a Georgia and SEC fan. Despite this, he offered his list of top players, acknowledging his own lack of bias.

Fields, known for his impressive rushing abilities during his two seasons with Ohio State, refrained from including himself in his list. His Mount Rushmore featured Troy Smith, a Heisman winner, Ezekiel Elliott, Ted Ginn Jr., and Eddie George. Interestingly, the list did not include Archie Griffin, the only two-time Heisman winner in Buckeye history, but instead highlighted a player pivotal to Ohio State’s 2014 title victory.

The quarterback’s future with the Bears has been a subject of speculation, with questions arising about whether he will remain with the team or if the Bears will explore other quarterback options in the upcoming offseason, such as drafting Caleb Williams or making a trade. Fields’ track record as a capable starting quarterback suggests he would find a new home easily if the Bears decide to part ways with him.
