On Tuesday, the Bengals solidified their coaching staff for the 2024 season with the addition of three new members. Regula spent the last two seasons as a senior defensive analyst at Notre Dame and has coached at the University of Miami and the University of Tennessee.
Ben Jacobs, the new special teams assistant, brings five seasons of experience as an assistant special teams coach with the Carolina Panthers (2019) and Washington Commanders (2020-2023). Jacobs, a former NFL linebacker who played for the Cleveland Browns (2011) and the Carolina Panthers (2014-2018), appeared in 73 career games. Additionally, he spent two weeks on the Bengals’ practice squad in 2012.
