New details have emerged regarding Steve Sarkisian’s contract extension at Texas, where he is set to earn over $10 million annually as the head football coach. Following the Longhorns’ success last season, securing the Big 12 Championship and making their inaugural appearance in the College Football Playoff, the university announced Sarkisian’s contract extension until 2030.

The recently disclosed information, as reported by Inside Texas, outlines various perks for the 49-year-old coach. Notably, the contract includes provisions for two cars, a $300,000 signing bonus, and a country club membership. Additionally, Sarkisian will have access to 20 hours of the school’s private jet usage, along with 12 tickets and a suite for all Texas games.

Sarkisian’s base salary, which was $5.6 million last season (ranking 30th nationally), will incrementally increase by $100,000 each year until 2030, culminating in a final year salary of $10.9 million. The contract features performance incentives, potentially adding an extra $1.85 million annually, with a substantial portion contingent on Texas winning the National Championship.
