The Celtics injury report lists three players as questionable for today’s game against the Bucks.
The Celtics have listed three key rotation players on their injury report ahead of todays’s highly anticipated game against the Bucks as they aim for their seventh consecutive win. Jrue Holiday (AC joint sprain), Jaylen Brown (ankle sprain), and Sam Hauser (ankle sprain) are all questionable for the showdown at TD Garden. However, the Celtics will welcome back Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Al Horford (toe) to the lineup after both missed Monday’s victory over the Pistons.
Holiday, who also sat out Monday’s game, may be receiving cautious treatment due to increased minutes in recent weeks. The positive development in the injury report is Hauser’s upgrade to questionable status after initially sustaining a concerning ankle sprain. Fortunately, X-rays revealed no serious damage, indicating a potential return to action sooner rather than later.
Although Brown returned from a two-game absence in Monday’s win, he appeared to aggravate his ankle during a stellar 31-point performance.
On the Bucks’ side, Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable with left hamstring soreness, while Marjon Beauchamp is probable with back spasms. Despite winning their last two games since Khris Middleton’s return, the Bucks still trail the Celtics by ten games for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
With Boston carrying a six-game winning streak into the matchup, they hold a 54-14 record with only 14 regular-season games remaining. The Celtics have split their two previous matchups with the Bucks this season.
The game between Boston and Milwaukee is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET today’s night and will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN.
