Additional information surfaces regarding the Celtics allocation at Ibrox following an agreement by the club.

The SPFL released a statement this morning confirming that both teams will allocate approximately 5% of their stadium for away supporters starting from the 2024/25 season. For Celtic, this translates to around 2,500 supporters heading to Govan next season, with further details emerging regarding their placement at Ibrox.

As Celtic is set to host the first encounter of the two teams next season, Bhoys fans will return to Ibrox for the traditional New Year derby. However, the remaining derbies this term will remain exclusive to home fans.

Rangers have officially announced in a statement that their fans in the BF5, BR5, BF4, and BR4 sections will be affected by the recent developments, resulting in Celtic fans being situated in the Broomloan Road end.

Celtic will be allocated a European-style section at Ibrox, spanning from the far corner of the Broomloan, visible from the TV camera perspective, to approximately one-third of the stand behind the goal. It appears that Bhoys supporters will occupy both the top and bottom tiers, although not extending along the entire stretch of the Broomloan as in previous years when the allocation was larger.

The experience for attendees should be significantly improved compared to when only around 800 fans were confined to a small corner surrounded by nearly 50,000 home supporters.

Considering the speculation that Celtic’s dominance in the derby led to Rangers reducing away ticket allocations initially, it is hoped that the Bhoys can once again create memorable scenes in the Broomloan – moments that those present will cherish forever.
