The concluding celebration for the Iowa women’s basketball season will take place at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Following another remarkable season, the Iowa women’s basketball team is set to receive recognition at Carver-Hawkeye Arena this Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Despite a defeat to the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks in the national championship, the event offers fans a final chance to honor the team’s exceptional achievements this season, notably clinching a program-record 34 victories and bidding farewell to its senior class.

The celebration will feature the team’s trophies, alongside appearances by the Iowa Spirit Squad, Herky, and the Iowa Pep Band. Parking will be accessible in surrounding lots starting at 4:30 p.m., with ADA parking available in Lot 40.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from head coach Lisa Bluder and Sue Beckwith, a former Iowa women’s basketball player now practicing as an M.D. Additionally, departing Hawkeyes Caitlin Clark, Molly Davis, Sharon Goodman, Kate Martin, and Gabbie Marshall will share their farewells.

Clark, a prominent figure in women’s college basketball, has declared for the WNBA Draft and is anticipated to be selected as the top pick.

While this year’s celebration relocates to Carver-Hawkeye Arena, last year’s event took place outdoors on the Pentacrast on campus. The previous year’s gathering featured insights from Beckwith, Bluder, and seniors McKenna Warnock and Monika Czinano.
