The Titans have traded for offensive tackle Leroy Watson from the Browns.
The Tennessee Titans have completed their second trade of the 2024 offseason, this time reaching an agreement with the Cleveland Browns.
On Friday afternoon, the team announced the acquisition of offensive tackle Leroy Watson, pending a physical examination. In return, the Titans will send a seventh-round pick (No. 227 overall) to Cleveland.
Initially signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in 2022, Watson transitioned from tight end to tackle upon entering the NFL. He subsequently spent time with the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers before joining the Browns.
Watson made his NFL debut in 2023, appearing in seven games with the Browns, where he worked under current Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan. During his limited playing time, Watson showcased versatility by playing 32 snaps at left tackle and 12 at right tackle, without surrendering a sack or pressure.
While the Titans’ assessment of Watson’s potential role remains undisclosed, he is expected to compete for a depth position in the upcoming 2024 season.
