Broncos Announce Exciting ‘Field of Dreams’ 50-50 Initiative

The Brisbane Broncos have recently implemented a groundbreaking initiative with their 50-50 Charity Raffle, ensuring that half of the prize pool goes to lucky fans while the other half supports various Queensland charities. This innovative approach has significantly boosted the club’s financial backing for local charities, with fans taking home substantial cash prizes.

The Broncos have emerged as the most successful sporting organization in Australia in raising funds through the 50-50 Charity Raffle, especially with the introduction of guaranteed prize jackpots for popular games this season.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all Broncos supporters who participated in the ‘Best Life’ raffle, contributing to its success. At the recent game against Redcliffe, Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy and Captain Adam Reynolds, alongside 50-50 CEO John Corry, presented a record-breaking cheque on the field, totaling an impressive $3 million raised for Queensland charities since 2013.

Since partnering up 11 years ago, the Broncos and 50-50 have collectively raised $3,165,644, with the distinctive bright green raffle volunteer shirts becoming an integral part of the Broncos’ home game experience.

During the Friday game, over 97,000 tickets were sold, resulting in a staggering total prize pool of $114,695. Half of this amount, a remarkable $57,347, was awarded to Toowoomba-based Broncos member Jeff Dooley, who opted for the $200 pack for 250 tickets, significantly increasing his chances of winning.

Mr. Dooley expressed his gratitude, stating, “This is just another reason to support the Brisbane Broncos; this is life-changing and couldn’t come at a better time for me.”

Additionally, a portion of the prize pool was allocated to the Round’s Charity Partner, Best Life, which plays a vital role in empowering children and young adults with disabilities to lead more independent lives.

In another sold-out game in 2024, a Brisbane-based fan secured a substantial prize of $61,904, following a remarkable $123,808 raised during the Broncos v Cowboys XXXX Derby, supporting the Carl Webb Grants Program through MND And Me.

The Broncos have successfully piloted guaranteed prize pools for select popular games, ensuring an exciting experience for fans while supporting important causes. Don’t miss out on your chance to participate in this week’s upcoming 50-50 Raffle, supporting Round 7 Charity Partner Guide Dogs Queensland, as the Broncos face off against the Canberra Raiders this Saturday night. Raffle tickets are available for purchase online or at the game until kickoff of the second half.
