After taking a redshirt year as a freshman in 2022, Jackson participated in 12 out of 14 games last season, consistently making contributions with at least one tackle in nine of those games.
The departure of Jamal Hill, who has moved on to pursue opportunities in the NFL after exhausting his college eligibility, creates openings at inside linebacker for the upcoming season.
