The previous season saw FSU acquire twelve transfers, including notable players like Keon Coleman, Jaheim Bell, and Braden Fiske, all of whom are now heading to the NFL.
However, this offseason, the Seminoles have secured only one transfer, albeit a talented one: Georgia’s sophomore defensive end, Marvin Jones Jr. This acquisition was crucial following the departure of redshirt junior Jared Verse to the NFL, addressing a position of need.

According to a report by 247Sports’ National College Football Reporter Matt Zenitz, Jabre Barber, the Troy wide receiver transfer, has arranged visits with Kansas State, Texas A&M, South Carolina, and Florida State. Notably, Barber contributed to Troy’s team for four years, amassing 75 receptions, 999 yards, and 5 touchdowns in the last season.
Despite Barber’s stature at 5’10” and 180 pounds, his agility and dynamism make him a formidable threat, especially in open spaces. Although Zenitz did not specify the date of Barber’s visit, the knowledge that the last day for drop/add classes at Florida State is January 11th provides a tentative timeframe, potentially setting a baseline for his visit (if it materializes), considering athletes sometimes leverage loopholes to extend drop/add dates.
